]Levia Quequezana- Originally from Peru, Levia immigrated to Canada in 2005 with her husband and four children. Since then, two more children were born in Canada. She felt very privileged to become a Canadian Citizen in 2008, and has proudly called Calgary her home since then.

Levia has been a volunteer for the Nurture Yourself Program for five years, which has been the most rewarding experience she has ever had. In addition to her Board Member duties, Levia also volunteers in leading a group of women in themes of personal growth, which is part of The Women Step Three Program - facilitated by the Nurture Yourself Program.

Even though she has a bachelors degree in Financial Accounting, in Canada her work has been within the community, specifically for women and family wellness. Her professional development has led her to work as a Multicultural Outreach Worker for the Calgary Health Region helping with the sensitive issues of pregnant women and their families. She has also worked at Bow Valley College for Career Connection where she has helped people of diverse backgrounds and has assisted them in accessing work or educational experiences. Her devotion to children and families has also led Levia to work as a Teaching Assistant for several months within a pre-school. She currently offers translation and interpretative services for Spanish families with children with special needs, supporting them as an advocator to find resources and services to address their multiple needs.

Her professional experiences have motivated her to organize different activities with the Nurture Yourself Support Group "RENACER" that she leads. One of the activities that they organize together with the Nurture Yourself Program was the Conference "Women's rights in Canada - April 2010" and "Money Matters in Women's Life-Start your own business - April 2011". They are looking forward to organize the 3rd conference in coordination with C.A.R.E. Society which promises once again to be a wonderful surprise and fantastic event.
